Sun & Sea

she’s a weaver of words,

a sower of sound.

her cadence carries the heart

of gentle ocean waves,

that,

during high tides and stars,

fill the capes and caves.

an inflection that carries the flutters

of monarch butterlies,

and honey bees.

sweet,

and sorrow.

a poet is a lover, is an experience,

is the earth, is the moon.

your melody streams from

rose-stained lips,

your skin, kissed by sun and sea,

resembles watered soil,

reminding me that

you create life,

you are life.

so please,

sing us your song.
